| What is your full name and date of birth? Where were you born? My full name is Isaia Niccolo Gambino, I was born on January 19th, 1964 in Westbrook, Maine. My name is a mouthful -- I know. How well do you get along with your parents? Much better now, obviously. Still some tension between myself and my father, but that is to be expected. He was always a strict man. Tell us a little bit about your childhood. Are there any specific memories that are significant to you? Do you have any siblings? If so, how do you get along with them? I spent a lot of time between the United States and Italy. My grandparents lived in Italy, which is the sole reason behind us visiting nearly every summer. I have an older and younger brother, we get along... like brothers, I guess. Significant memories? When my children were born. Have you lived in Westbrook your entire life? If not, tell us about the other places you have lived. I haven't. I was born in Westbrook, but we lived in Italy for two years when I was fourteen, and then moved to New Jersey for a couple of years before moving back when I was nineteen and first met my then-future-wife. What qualities do you look for in a friend? In a significant other? My wife is both of those things, so I would have to say to look to her if you would want to know about specific qualities. Honesty is a must. What grade are you in? Do you enjoy school? I am the principal of Weston Hills. What is your favorite/least favorite class and why? I am no longer in classes. What's your favorite guilty indulgence? Video games. PS3 party? I'm there! If you could have dinner with anyone in all of history, who would it be, and why? Preferably someone integral to history, though I cannot think of anyone off of the top of my head right now. It's a tough decision. Do you have any lifelong goals? Dreams? To not get prostate cancer. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? A man, preferably. Looks like I succeeded with that one! How do you handle confrontations? I expel them. Simple enough. Describe a defining moment in your life. I got caught having sex in my room by my mom. It was by myself, of course, but I learned the value of a lock after that day. What is good and what is evil? Ice cream is good. Heart burn is evil. It's like Voldemort. The world will end tomorrow. What do you do today? Ice cream and PS3. Need I say more? Is there any truth to the saying: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer? Do you have enemies? Do you have more friends than enemies? I have tons of enemies - I'm the principal of a high school. They're programmed to hate me if I get them in trouble with their parents. I don't want to keep them too close to me - they carry guns now. What do you think are your best qualities? And your worst? Aside from being debonairly handsome, you mean? I think I sometimes prefer to act younger than my age. I think it fends off the old age, personally. Who has had the most influence on your life? My wife and my children. They are perfect. Does heartache make you stronger? It depends on the type of heartache, as there are many variations, but that seems to be the general consensus, yes. Describe the best 24 hours you ever had. Honeymoon. That's all I'll say on the matter for the time being, though. What is the biggest lie you ever told? What were the consequences? I told my grandmother that I liked her pasta with shrimp. I had to eat it for the rest of the summer that year. It was awful. What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you? My sixteen year old daughter told me she was pregnant. I thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest right then and there. What is your most treasured possession and why? Do appendages count? No? Well, then a pocket watch my grandfather gave to me when I was thirteen. He died the year after, and it's been passed down through my family. What is your favorite time of day? Why? During the school year? When the last bell chimes. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what would you do? Get myself a Ray Gun. Who said video games weren't educational? |
